Cybersecurity CTF @ SouthHills

​What is a CTF?

A CTF is an online digital scavenger hunt and cybersecurity game where you solve tech puzzles with your computer! You should try to bring your own laptop and can attend for as long as you want.

It's "free" and we will have food, drinks, and prizes!

​We will have two options at this event:

​1) Beginner Friendly CTF Challenge - this will be an "easy level" guided CTF where the goal is learning! When we first started CTFs we were clueless and we just want to introduce CTF basics, the types of challenges, and have some fun along the way capturing some easy flags! When you are finished, you can join the SouthHills CTF Team and help us find flags in a live CTF challenge where there are 1000's of hackers participating from across the world.

​2) Join the SouthHills CTF Team - if you already know the basics, join our team and go head-to-head against other hacker-types solving CTF challenges during PatriotCTF2024 for points and prizes in a fun cybersecurity event. (See: https://competitivecyber.club/patriotctf)

​We are going to spend the evening playing these CTFs together, hunting for hidden "flags" and showing each other how we found the solutions. We will definitely learn something about tech along the way. We will also have food, drinks, and prizes!!!
