Peer to Peer: An honest Conversation on Burnout
After sharing my own journey through burnout and rest, I received an outpouring of responses that highlighted just how essential —and rare— it is for engineers and professionals to have a safe, non-judgmental space to discuss burnout openly.
Many of us don't know if what we're feeling is okay, or how others are experiencing similar struggles. It can be isolating, confusing, and difficult. Perhaps by openly sharing our experiences, we can make this challenging time a little easier for ourselves. I know I'd have loved something like this when I was going through it.
This one-time, online sharing circle is my way of fostering exactly that. I am not a burnout specialist or therapist—I'm simply an human who's been there, understands the pressures, and deeply believes in normalizing conversations about burnout, stress, and self-care.
Who is this for?
Engineers, tech professionals, and anyone feeling the pressures of burnout or wishing to better understand and normalize conversations around it.
Why is there a fee?
I decided to include a modest fee to encourage sincere participation and ensure that everyone attending truly values and is committed to an authentic, meaningful conversation.
All net proceeds will be transparently donated to a charity supporting mental health -recommendations are welcome, and participants will receive confirmation of the donation afterward. Feel free to give more than the minimum amount if you'd like.
