​Intro to Git(Hub)

​Come join us for an interactive learning session on git and GitHub! We will be working through a handful of guided steps to get you familiar with these tools. We will give a brief overview of what git is, how it differs from GitHub, then jump right into versioning our software!

​Prerequisites

• ​slight knowledge of the command line, or at least a willingness to learn

• ​a GitHub account

• ​git installed

  • ​git comes preinstalled on MacOS and most Linux distributions. You will need to install it on Windows.

​The interactive portion will be at your own pace and we will be around to help anyone who gets into a pickle.
