##### What is Mindfulness

Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us.

The ability to be mindful is present in all of us, but we need to learn to access it.

#### Benefits of Mindfulness

1) Exercise control on yourself from urges and distractions like social media (or broadly digital media),
2) Be able to focus and concentrate better on your tasks and work.
3) Get rid of negative thought patterns, stresses & anxieties.
4) Improve your relationships by being less reactionary/triggered and calmer.
5) Establish work and life boundaries, firmly & consistently
6) Reduce the extent of bad habits including binge-eating, smoking, alcoholism, late sleeping, etc
