About The Speakers
Alyssa Petersel, LCSW is an accomplished therapist and thought leader at the intersection of tech and mental health. She is also Founder and CEO of MyWellbeing (mywellbeing.com), where she and her team connect people with the right therapist or coach for them while supporting mental health providers in building their business and professional community.
Named Forbes 30 Under 30, one of Crain's New York Business Notable Women in Healthcare, and one of Built in NYC's 50 Startups to Watch, Alyssa and her team have supported more than 30 million people through mental health support and content and have been featured in prominent publications like Forbes, Allure, HuffPost, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, and more. Also a writer and therapist, Alyssa released her first award-winning book in 2016. A native New Yorker, in her off-hours, Alyssa enjoys spending time with her friends and family, social justice, and learning more about others' cultures and world views.
Dr. Jacqueline Jones brings over 26 years of experience in education, serving in various roles from middle school teacher to campus assistant principal mentor. She is now the founder of I SEE ME Spiritual Emotionally Equipped Mentally Empowered,
a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young girls. Dr. Jones began her academic journey as a Razorback, earning an undergraduate degree in business from the University of Arkansas. Her commitment to lifelong learning led her to pursue advanced degrees, including a Master’s Degree, a Master of Divinity, and two Graduate Certificates from Liberty University, and a Doctorate Degree from Luther Rice Seminary.
With over 30 years of experience leading, teaching, and mentoring youth at churches in Lewisville, TX, , Dr. Jones brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for empowering young minds. Her current focus, as the founder of a non-profit, is on creating programs that fosters an inner confidence which builds self-esteem, self-worth, self-affirmation, resilience and leadership skills among girls. She envisions a world where girls can discover their unique strengths, embrace authenticity, and unleash their full potential.
Kate Hermosura, EdD serves as the Lead of Women’s Wellbeing & Leadership Development at Seekher Foundation. She has over 13 years of experience across a range of educational contexts working directly with students, parents, schools, and allied health professionals. As a critical feminist scholar and practitioner, her research focuses on the intersection of identity, leadership, and critical feminism in developing diverse and inclusive leaders to transform organizations. She brings passion, energy, and expertise in leadership development, community building, and strategic partnerships. She is committed to amplifying women, expanding access to mental health, and supporting the use of outdoor spaces as tools for healing and connection. Kate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Social Behavior, a Master's degree in Public Health, and an Education Doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership.
