USAID and End Pandemics

​EndPandemics (https://endpandemics.earth/join.html) is a global campaign alliance started by a diverse group of solution-oriented practitioners at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020. It aims to prevent future pandemics by addressing their root causes and investing in planetary health.

​The next monthly installment of the EndPandemics Global Townhall Series - on March 2, 2022 at 09:00 am Eastern time - will spotlight the following topic:

​Challenge the Silos!

​Converging Climate, Biodiversity and Pandemic Prevention Agendas in Policies and at the Frontlines.

​Mr. Steven Galster, Freeland CEO and EndPandemics Co-Founder, will host the discussion.

​Ms. Gillian Caldwell, USAID Deputy Assistant Administrator and Climate Change Coordinator, will be our guest speaker (https://www.usaid.gov/who-we-are/organization/gillian-caldwell).

​EndPandemics promotes the One Health approach to prevent pandemics, but we sense there is still more talk than action on collapsing policy silos and converging efforts on the ground to implement One Health.

​We'll be eager to learn how we can best join forces with the Climate Change community.

​We also want to make sure the frontline understands all these dynamics at the top, and for frontline voices to be heard too. Frontline organizations are good at getting things done, but we also may not see the big picture, so we too can operate in silos. By creating this alliance we all see a bigger picture now, but we can always do better.
