SIW - Student Spotlight: Panthers in Social Impact

About this Event:
Student Spotlight is a mini-series part of Student Innovation Week hosted by StartUP FIU. Through a series of Pecha Kucha** talks, students from our community get to share their experiences as entrepreneurs and innovators in their field! From social entrepreneurship to the unconventional student path, we will hear from our very own FIU panthers as well as students from our neighboring Miami based universities.
This edition, “Social Entrepreneurs”, will be joined by two student founders who will share their journey and what it's like to build social impact projects and compete in the national Hult Prize Competition!
**Pecha Kucha is a storytelling format where a presenter shows 20 slides for 20 seconds of commentary each.
What to Expect:
Two students will present a 5 minute Pecha Kucha talk
Presentations will be followed by a 10 minute moderated interview
The floor will open for a 10 minute Q&A session with the audience
This event is Hybrid:
As a student, you will have the option of joining us in-person at the StartUP FIU Space (3rd floor of the MARC building) or Virtually through Zoom.

Who is this event for?
We invite students from all majors! If you are from Business or Computer Engineering all the way to Biology. Students who wish to learn more about different paths and explore how the entrepreneurial mindsets of others have helped pave innovative ways to success.
