Kevin Ford, CEO, Calian
As Chief Executive Officer of Calian, Kevin Ford focuses on enabling the management team to execute the company’s four-pillar growth framework of customer retention, diversification, innovation and continuous improvement. This unrelenting focus has taken the company to the next level, with revenues based on current guidance to be above $700M. It’s one milestone on the journey to becoming a billion-dollar, proudly Canadian company.
Talia Abramowitz, Managing Partner, Deloitte Ventures
Talia is the founder and managing partner of Deloitte Ventures. Coming from an entrepreneurial household, Talia is passionate about helping founders succeed. Prior to taking on Deloitte Ventures, Talia served as the chief operating officer for Deloitte’s national Financial Advisory practice and for Omnia AI, the firm’s artificial intelligence practice in Canada. She was on the ground floor of building the AI practice in 2018 and scaling it into the highly successful practice it is today.
Leo Lax, Executive Managing Director, L-SPARK
Leo is the Executive Managing Director at L-SPARK. Prior to L-SPARK, Leo was the co-founder of Skypoint Capital, a venture capital firm that specialized in investing in early stage Information and communication tech companies. Lax brings with him to L-SPARK valuable experience as a practiced veteran of both the corporate and entrepreneurial sides of the tech sector. Prior to Skypoint, Leo was a senior executive at Newbridge Networks where he was responsible for corporate venturing, and prior to that he was at Mitel as Senior Executive of one of the key business units.
