The Empathizer Fundraiser Mixer

​This is a mixer to help promote and raise funds for The Empathizer, a short documentary by Fred Le and Bret Hamilton. The film will follow LA-based comedian Fred as he goes back to Vietnam to reflect on the nearly three years he spent living aimlessly in the country that his parents had fled many years ago. Through interviews with other overseas-born Vietnamese who similarly felt drawn to the motherland, the short will examine identity, belonging, and generational trauma. But like hopefully in a lighthearted way.
