This meeting will focus on advancing the metering strategy, with a particular emphasis on integration, strategic placement, and incorporating metering into new build developments. It will be held at Landis and Gyr’s office in Manchester.

– Strategic Placement: Determining optimal locations for meter installations—whether above ground or at the property boundary—and planning the scale of deployment within the broader 88 billion package.

– Metering at New Builds: Discussing the role of metering in new build developments, including integration with NAVs (New Appointments and Variations) and linking metering to developer services.

– Integration with MCERTS: Exploring how MCERTS (Monitoring Certification Scheme) fits into the metering strategy, particularly in the context of new builds.

– Data and Communication Considerations: Evaluating the network data gathered from meters and the potential collaboration with Vodaphone for communication needs.

– Supply Pipe Ownership: Reviewing the relevance (or irrelevance) of supply pipe ownership in the metering strategy.

A poll will also be conducted to gather input on the placement of meters, specifically whether they should be above ground. This meeting aims to ensure our metering approach is comprehensive and aligns with broader development and infrastructure objectives, especially in the context of new builds.
