We’re teaming up with the incredible Jimmy Miller Memorial Foundation to host our very first 

surf therapy event for kids and teens with Type 1 diabetes

, and you don’t need to have ever touched a surfboard to join.

This day is all about connection, confidence, and getting into the water in a safe, supported way. We’ll kick things off with a therapist-led circle on the sand, where kids can connect and share before heading into the ocean for one-on-one surf lessons with CPR-certified instructors. Safety is a top priority, and the JMMF team includes licensed therapists, lifeguards, and expert watermen.

After surfing, we’ll gather for a beach lunch and more hangout time, giving everyone a chance to relax, recharge, and just be kids.

This event is focused on emotional wellness and mental health support as much as it is on fun.

 Whether your child is nervous, excited, or somewhere in between—we’ll meet them exactly where they’re at.
