Join Sarah Yukie for Instinctive Meditation and learn to welcome ALL of yourself into this delicious practice. This is an invitation to fall in love with your magic and cultivate the restoration of beingness as a vital practice. We’ll open the Shala from 12 to 1:08 for those of you who like time to relax and ease into a space. We’ll have optional smudge blessings with sweetgrass at 12:15 and then find our sacred space at 12:30. Our seated practice will complete by 1pm.To honor our space, our class space is limited to 8 participants. If you choose to join us, bring a mask comfortable for you to wear that covers your nose and mouth for the entire practice. We are deeply committed to making these tools for balanced wellness accessible. These classes are donation-based and will be every Wednesday.

Radiant Meditation with Sarah

Flow & Restore is a yoga class designed to help you unwind from your day and enter the evening feeling peaceful and present. In this 75 minute class we will first flow through gentle, dynamic movement leading us into deep relaxation for the last half of class where we will hold grounding, restorative postures. This class is accessible to all levels (even if you have never done yoga before) and will involve the use of some props.

Mindfulness is becoming quite the buzz word these days. Have you found yourself wondering about it and wanting to know what all the hype is? Join us for 2 hours on April 22nd and discover the magic of mindfulness. 

We will discuss the origins, history, and philosophy, as well dive into the science of it. There is a remarkable amount of new research supporting the various effects of mindfulness on one's life and even more fascinating the effects on the brain! Finally, we will dive into the best practices for your own life that you can implement right away. The science to support the benefits of mindfulness and meditation is increasing every year. Have you found yourself wondering about mindfulness and wanting to know what all the hype is? Whether you are a beginner and looking to learn how to develop your own practice or improve and support your already established practice there is something to gain from this workshop. We will look at neuroscience to support the benefits of meditation on the body and mind as well as implement various meditation practices for you to take home. 

Join us to discover the benefits mediation can have on your own life. It is the hope that we will be able to bring more mindfulness workshop offerings in the future, such as mindful eating, mindfulness in parenting, mindful habit creating, and mindful walking meditation. Mindfulness Workshop with Rebecca

Build heat through core work and ignite your fire with full body engagement through traditional yoga postures for 45 minutes. This class focuses on building strength and endurance through a power flow sequence. Following with 20 minutes of deep yin/restorative stretching, working the counter pose to integrate all of your hard work. End with a 10-15 minute meditation and shavasana.

Are you looking to learn more about meditation, deepen your meditation practice, or maybe find a “Sangha” to deepen your practice and connect with other meditators? Join us twice a month on Sunday for an in-person guided meditation practice. Learn the various mindful meditation practices rooted in insight meditation lineage, with an opportunity to discuss experience and connect with community. While having an at home personal meditation practice is beneficial, connecting with others in meditation on a regular basis can strengthen your personal practice.

Sunday Sangha with Rebecca

Yin Yoga is a practice in which you hold postures for an extended period of time (typically between 3-10 minutes). It is gentle yet powerful and will help to increase flexibility and blood flow to the joints. In a typical class, you are encouraged to notice, with loving awareness, all of the sensations that arise and use the breath as a tool for presence. Practicing Yin is deeply restorative for the mind and body, and you can expect to leave class feeling grounded, peaceful, and rejuvenated. All humans are invited to join class. Show up exactly as you are; you are welcome here.  Class will be held every Sunday from 6pm to 7pm. Arrive a few minutes early to class so you can get settled into the space.

New to yoga or need a refresher? Enhance your knowledge of proper posture and alignment through slow intuitive movement. Join me on the mat every Monday evening from 7-8pm. The possibilities that await you in this beginner style class are limitless. 

Open Mind, Open Heart Beginner Flow with Sara

Feldenkrais is widely known for its effectiveness in reducing or even eliminating pain and its ability to teach people how to manage chronic pain through better movement, increased self-awareness and self-confidence. Learn to be more delicate in your handling, more discerning of your sensations, more embodied in your wisdom. 

Classes are suitable for those with recurrent pain and anyone who desires gentle, slow-paced movement done in silence. Beginners welcome. All that's needed are an open mind and ability to hear in dim lighting.

Taught by Brent Shaub, Feldenkrais Practitioner who coined "Micro Yoga Zen" after 13 years of private practice. He has been able to resume activity despite an immobilizing pelvic fracture thanks to this modality, mindfulness meditation and his invention, MediSit. He incorporates the principles of self-care in his daily life.

Moving Out of Pain #2 with Brent

Experience the power of amplified sound, combined with storytelling, relaxation, conscious, collective intention and connection! Group Soundscape Meditations offer a very unique sound bath experience, in which tones and frequencies are looped, layered and mixed using vocals or instruments like singing bowls, tuning forks, shakers, rain sticks, prerecorded sound clips, etc. A state-of-the-art electronic loop pedal is used to create these atmospheric sounds, while two 12-inch speakers project and magnify the experience. In this class, children will enjoy a playful, dynamic and conscious practice, encouraging a connection with themselves and others through compassion, understanding and clarity -  improving their overall health and happiness. 

Class will take place during First Friday

Offering two classes for a different group ages:

45 min class - themed class with breathing exercises, yoga poses, relaxation and surprising activities.

55 min class - more of a formal yoga class, engaging with games and activities to keep it playful.

Moving Out of Pain #3 with Brent

Vaginal Steaming (aka Yoni Steam” and “V Steam) is a self care practice and treatment that women from all around the world have passed down for generations as an effective tool to support their health and wellness. This non invasive, regenerative practice is simple, and involves sitting over a warm herbal steam, letting it permeate over the exterior of your vagina.  Women who steam, report that regular steaming can help lessen symptoms and / or resolve many issues pertaining to the womb including fertility, postpartum healing, painful periods, PMS, fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, yeast infections, painful sex, dryness, and low libido among others.  Jenny will go over the basics of this very relaxing, very pleasurable, and highly effective treatment, and will also incorporate breath, movement and other womb healing techniques. In additon to learning about Vaginal Steaming, Christi will share some beneficial herb infused oils that can be used to massage the womb, lower back and thighs. We will make our own blends to take home and incorporate into our self care practices!

Or what options you have if hormonal birth control is not in alignment with your beliefs but you still want to avoid conception? The goal of this workshop is to answer these questions and offer practical information for preventing pregnancy naturally. This workshop will be taught by Christi Albert, herbalist and owner of Ellister’s Elixirs. 

This workshop will start at 4pm. We will leave space for sharing and questions, so the end time is open and may be around 6pm depending on sharing.

Alternatives to Hormonal Birth Control Workshop

This primer will expose you to concepts of Centers of Intelligence, how the brain is connected to these centers, and how the energy in the body flows between the centers and at an even lower at the chakra level.

The event will start with some high level training on center of intelligences (head, heart, body).  We will use a grounding meditation to connect to our centers.  Then move into a brief explanation of the chakras but more importantly find them in our body via some simple movements.  We will end with a cleansing meditation.  Lastly we will journal on the experience to be able to draw on for future learning.  It will be a packed 2 hours.  

FYI. What is a chakra?  ​They are various energy centers in your body that correspond to specific nerve bundles and internal organs.  They are part of the nervous system but also hold “more” than just the sum of all the nerves…

Zoom is possible if you feel the need to contain your experience to a more safe and known space.  

Sandra is a certified Enneagram Life Coach, Certified Yoga Instructor, and a Sacred Contacts instructor who works with clients to connect the body with life experiences. She works with clients to clear out the “clutter” of energy to access a deeper sense of Presence and Freedom.  These are just a few of the tools in Sandra’ s toolkit.  This is a primer for future exploration….a reacquainting, or potentially a way to continue a practice of noticing and naming.

Restorative Yoga with Tori

Mindfulness is becoming quite the buzz word these days. Have you found yourself wondering about it and wanting to know what all the hype is? Join us for 2 hours on June 10th and discover the magic of mindfulness. 

This Sound Meditation will feature basic grounding and preparation through simple breath awareness. Learning to “tune-in” to our higher self and set solid intention. We will explore the theta healing realm through the use of many different overtone instruments such as Singing Bowls and Gongs. We will also do a little mid section of drum journeying to dive a little deeper before coming back with some mantra chanting to come back into the body. Overall it’s quite the experience and we would love to see you there. 

Alan has over 15 years practicing, studying, and performing music. He then found the correlation between sound and healing through the study and art of yoga/meditation. Applying these practices for his own personal healing, growth, and transformation, he now presents these healing modalities to communities in the area and through online classes.

Immerse yourself in nature, gather with your sisters, and discover ways to feel deep contentment from within. Join Christi, owner of Ellister's Elixirs, Brooke, Naturalist and Deep Forest Bathing guide, and Erin, Naturopathic Doctor, for an overnight retreat on the Appalachian Trail! You will be led a half mile into the woods, where we will set up a magical camp together! Throughout the day we will guide you through various activities like Deep Listening, Forest Bathing, Breathwork, Plant and Fungi Exploration, Healing Mud Masks, and Womb Wisdom. As the Sun sets and the Moon rises, we will gather around the fire, cook a tasty meal, share stories, make music and DANCE! 

This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with yourself, Mother Nature and your fellow sisters. Where you can feel into your body and tap into the wisdom of your heart and soul. This retreat is open to all female identifying goddesses.

We will be providing lunch, dinner and breakfast. A water source is close by but we recommend you bring a Lifestraw water bottle to filter your water. We will be backpack camping, meaning anything you need for the day/night you must carry into the site which is a half mile away. We will send out more info on what to pack after you register. Naturopathic Doctor Erin Gattuso will lead you through a series of breathwork techniques. Breathwork can be a very helpful tool in self exploration and discovery, especially when paired with thoughtful prompts and guidance. This workshop is for people who are looking to develop a deeper understanding of the mind body connection.

Morning Meditation with Sandra

 is a 60 min yoga class designed to honor the body and nourish the soul. Each class offers movement, breath-work, and meditation practices to strengthen your connection to your body, which is incredibly wise and intelligent. When we listen deeply and feel the subtle rhythms of the body we open space for healing and magic to unfold. Although this class is guided by Tori, the true guide is your body and you will be encouraged to take what resonates with you and make these practices your own for your unique body. 

In this 3 part Somatic Slow Flow Series, we will explore practices used to help guide you towards your body’s natural state of balance. Each class will work with one of the Ayurvedic doshas (Pitta, Kapha, Vata), and you will be led through movement, breath work, and meditation practices that help support this dosha within you. Even if you identify strongly with one particular dosha, every human contains all 3 doshas within them and knowing how to support each dosha will help you care for your body during different seasons of the year and seasons of your life. 

With a warm, heart-centered approach to teaching, Tori Akerley, a Certified Yoga Instructor, guides you to feel empowered, present, and free in your body. Her biggest intention is to help you trust your body's natural desire and ability to heal and be well. Her classes create a safe space to explore breath work and movement that is grounding yet playful, leaving you feeling refreshed and connected to your authentic and vibrant self. Tori has been fascinated by the body for years and began studying yoga at the age of 15. She became a certified yoga instructor in 2019 and has been teaching weekly classes at various locations in Lancaster County ever since. She is also currently studying to become a Somatic Yoga Therapist with the intention of working one-on-one with clients in the future.

6th Annual Harvest Moon Womxn of Folk Fest

Feeling a bit disconnected from yourself? Want to start awakening your inner wisdom and sensual self? 

Using intuitive movement and pleasure embodiment techniques, Ashley will guide you out of your head and deep into the wisdom of your body. Release all of the expectations and roles that society puts on you and step into your authentic self. Wear whatever makes you feel sensual and empowered as we explore breathe and subtle movements! 

Not a dancer? No problem! This workshop is focused on asking your body how they want to move moment to moment. You will be given guided questions and prompts to help facilitate your movement or you can follow your own flow! Everyone's movements will look different and unique to them. There is no right or wrong way to connect to yourself.

On Saturday & Sunday, September 18th & 19th 2021, Join us for Lancaster's 5th annual VegFest to celebrate the plant-based lifestyle! This is a FREE public event whose mission is to provide information about the benefits of a plant-based diet for health and the benefit to animals.

In response to the pandemic, we are holding a 2-day outdoor market instead of a full-blown festival. There will still be amazing vendors & food as well as a DJ and art. To ensure there is no overcrowding, we ask that you claim a free ticket for the time slot you plan on attending. We will not be doing first-100 gift bags this year but we will have amazing goodie bags for VIP ticket holders.

Lancaster VegFest

Bernadette is a self made artist, born and raised in the Lehigh Valley. She spent most of her childhood outside, collecting rocks and offerings from nature that she would incorporate into her crafts. After receiving her associates degree in Fine Arts, she opened her art business BernadetteDesigns LLC in 2018. She paints a version of the world she wishes to see, adding as much color as possible to each piece. Most of her paintings are inspired by her trip out to Colorado in 2016, where the love for mountains began.

​Bernadette's business is based on custom work. After developing her style, she has been able to expand her focus on a variety of different projects such as; custom painted shoes, epoxy resin coasters and furniture, hand-lettered signs, and acrylic paintings similar to the style she has established. She loves to experiment and try new mediums in her work, so her content is continuously changing to reflect that.

For the month of October, she is presenting an array of her favorite subject matter. This includes mountains, mushrooms and the moon. To celebrate the transition into Autumn, and her 24th rotation around the sun, she is trying to steer her direction in art more clearly to the natural elements that inspired her most as a child.

First Friday Art Show featuring BernadetteDesigns

Researched for over 40 years, mindfulness, practiced over an 8-week time period has shown  evidence to support an increase in compassion, awareness and concentration, decrease reactivity, provide greater emotional regulation, and improve a greater understanding and accepting of one's emotions.

This particular series will be adapted to meet the needs and interests of children 12 and under. Our children and our future generations are in need of the resiliency skills provided by mindfulness now more than ever. Your children will be met where they are with compassion and individualized attention and adaptations to the curriculum. Be sure to share any additional information with the teacher in order for Rebecca to adapt the curriculum each week to meet the group’s needs. Registration ahead of time will be a huge benefit. 

Classes will be Saturday mornings from 10am-11am starting October 2nd at Ellister's Elixirs. Each week we will complete practices that will increase our awareness and compassion in the following areas:

 Stress (With a bonus mindful eating activity to celebrate Halloween weekend. Be sure to share about any allergies or food restrictions with your teacher)
