​🚀This is an official side event of Latitude59 where we open a discussion over the Manifesto of Allyship launched during the Latitude59 program.

​What is this Manifesto about?
On 23rd of May during the Latitude59 main program, Latitude59 founders and investors are coming together to declare their allyship by taking proactiveness in making the startup ecosystem diverse, inclusive and equal.

​The Manifesto of Allyship declares that Estonian founders and investors make a joint contribution to increase diversity, equality and inclusivity in the startup ecosystem. Research points to the fact that organisations in the top quartile for gender diversity on executive teams were 25% more likely to have above-average profitability than companies in the bottom, while companies with more than 30% female executives were more likely to outperform companies that don’t.

​There aren’t enough women in executive positions both in startups and VC funds, and only 2% of funding goes to female led startups. Both founders and investors need to step up their game to realise the business potential that women bring along. It’s not a women’s issue, it’s everybody’s issue. Only together can we make the change happen.

​🎉The declaration will be followed by a discussion and celebration at Female Founders Meetup at 6pm, Kota Klubi, where we invite Diverse Founders, Investors and Press.
