East River Ekiden

​An unsanctioned Japanese-style 50K relay comprising five legs of 5K, 8K, 12K, 15K, and 10K, in that order. Each leg will start at Evil Twin Dumbo, and the final leg will end at Evil Twin Ridgewood. The first four legs will use the greenways and bridges of Brooklyn/Lower Manhattan, and the fifth leg will run from Dumbo to Queens, where we will have an after-party at Evil Twin Brewing. See the website eastriver5000.com for course maps. Teams of five runners can race in the men's, women's, non-binary, and mixed divisions. To qualify as mixed at least three runners must be women or non-binary. NOTE: The registration fee is for the whole team and includes a very nice piece of swag for each of the five runners, to be announced soon.
