Only a few days into 2025 and the devastating impacts of climate are again front and centre as wildfires have ravaged Los Angeles. A bellwether reminder to the fact that more needs to be done to combat the impacts of climate change.
With climate tech funding having dropped by around 33% from 2023 to 2024, it is more critical than ever that more capital be mobilized to combat the impacts from the climate challenge the planet faces. These issues are more acute in emerging markets which, on average, receive a fraction of the capital peers in the Global North and yet are disproportionately affected by climate change.
As a way to mobilize the climate tech ecosystem in London, Investors for Climate - A Community of Investors Actively Deploying in Climate - and UTOPIA - a pioneering management company driving commercial and transformative impact in emerging and frontier market - are hosting the first ‘Climate & Croissants’ morning on February 6th in London.
This event will be the second gathering of Investors for Climate, and will act to catalyse the ecosystem in London, where it will:
