Nucleate Baltimore | DC 4th Annual Demo Day

​Nucleate is a non-profit with programming to support the commercialization of projects by academic trainees (PhDs, MBAs, MDs, etc.) in the Baltimore | DC area. In our chapter's history, we have worked with founders such as Taylor Cottle at Aptabridge (Hopkins President Venture Fellowship Recipient), Alexander Trick at Prompt Diagnostics (now in residency with https://www.lifebridgehealth.org/main/bioincubator), and Mitchell Turley at Somnair (recent awardees of >$250k non-dilutive funding) as well as sponsors such as yourself and Blackbird Labs. Across Nucleate's organziation as a whole, we have served over 250 life sciences ventures that have raised over $320 million in venture funding across projects born out of 120+ academic institutions. 

​We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Geoffrey Lynn as this year’s Keynote Speaker. A visionary biotech entrepreneur, Geoffrey co-founded and led Avidea Technologies, Inc. from its launch at Johns Hopkins FastForward in 2017 to its successful acquisition by Vaccitech, Plc in 2021—now known as Barinthus Biotherapeutics (NASDAQ: BRNS). As a former NIH-Oxford Scholar, he brings a unique perspective that bridges the worlds of Johns Hopkins and the NIH, embodying the spirit of scientific innovation and translational impact.

​​Nucleate, a nonprofit organization led by trainees with the mission of empowering biotech leaders, is hosting a pitch showcase for our third annual showcase.

​​Cohort teams and attendees span all major biomedical institutions in the region, with cohort ventures based on pioneering academic work, creating therapies for unmet medical needs and novel therapeutic platforms.

​SereNeuro Therapeutics, Inc. - SereNeuro decodes human pain perception using scalable iPSC-derived sensory neurons to unlock new pain therapies.

​Excis - Excis is developing a CRISPR-based gene therapy platform for precise treatments of pancreatic cancers.

​Modelus - Modelus uses AI-driven simulations to predict transdermal drug delivery outcomes.

​SinuStim - SinuStim's mouthguard utilizes electrical pulses to alleviate chronic sinus congestion and facial pain.

​EndoGuard - EndoGuard offers a non-invasive HIFU system for precise treatment of type II endoleaks post-aortic aneurysm repair.

​BAIT - Bait is advancing cancer immunotherapy to target and treat neuroblastoma with novel immunologic strategies.
