About Event

Register for the third EduVisa Community chess tournament!

Tournament Format

The tournament will be a seven-round non-ranked Swiss/Dutch-system bracket (awarding 1 point for a win, 0.5 for a draw, 0 for loss), with one round played each day of the tournament. Ties will be broken using the Sonneborn–Berger score if necessary. Each round consists of a single 10+0 match (10-minute timer, 0-second increment).

Playing and Reporting Games

At 8:30 AM ET every other day, the next round pairings will be sent out over the EduVisa Community discord server in the #♟chess-tournament channel.

Pairs should coordinate to play their match at any time in the next 48 hour period using either lichess.org or chess.com. Results should be reported before 8 AM ET by one player per pair in the #♟chess-tournament channel with the result of the match and a link to the match report. Failure to report will result in a draw for both players.
