About Event

Education doesn’t end once you leave school. In fact, it’s just the beginning.

We’re never too old to learn something new and it’s important to keep up with the ever-changing world around us.

For 18 years, Sean Dagony-Clark has studied education, taught, mentored teachers, and published and podcasted on educational topics. He built the Education Team at ThriveDX (formerly HackerU), as well as the processes for hiring, training, and professional learning for all of its instructors.

Prior to ThriveDX, Sean was the Director of Educational Development at Flatiron School, as well as Director of Academic Technology and Chair of Computer Science at Riverdale Country School. He also holds an M.A. in Instructional Technology and Media from Teachers College, Columbia University.

Sean will be joined by guest host Joe Burgess. Joe is a software developer who fell in love with teaching in high school.

He combined those talents and joined Flatiron School as the first employee and instructor. After teaching for a few years, Joe managed the in-person school, curriculum development, and launched Flatiron’s online program.

He spent the past year at Flatiron building courses for organizations like the U.S. Army, Amazon, and many others.
