About Event

Join us for an intimate conversation on Intellectual Property (IP) Hygiene. With our guest speaker, Julian Ho and host Byron Thom, we will explore practical approaches to embedding IP best practices into the fabric of your startup.

In the tech world, your IP is the spark of innovation that can light up the market and lead to lasting value — or fizzle out if not properly safeguarded. From navigating legal landscapes to fostering a culture of awareness and protection within your teams, understanding IP hygiene is not just necessary; it’s crucial for your startup's survival and growth.

What You’ll Gain:

  • Insider Knowledge: Delve into the essentials of IP strategy that every founder needs to know—from non-disclosure agreements to the worldwide assignment of IP rights.

  • Real-World Wisdom: Engage with firsthand stories and experiences on the importance of comprehensive IP right provisions in employment agreements and beyond.

  • Practical Tools: Discover templates and strategies to manage open-source software, navigate third-party contractor relationships, and implement simple employee training for IP protection.

  • Community and Q&A: This fireside chat format encourages dialogue. Bring your questions, share your experiences, and learn from peers navigating the same challenges.

We are pleased to welcome our Guest Speaker, Julian Ho, and Host, Byron Thom:
