Water Buffalos at Tegeler Fließ II – The Sequel
We tried. We failed. We try again! 🐃✨
On August 17, we return to Tegeler Fließ, one of Berlin’s most beautiful and serene nature reserves. With its winding trails through wetlands, meadows, and forests shaped by ancient glaciers, this landscape feels like a hidden world just outside the city.
As we walk, we’ll explore a mosaic of biotopes—from reed beds to damp meadows—home to a rich variety of birds and other wildlife. And of course, we’ll be on the lookout for the elusive water buffalo, who have been grazing here since 2015 as part of a conservation project to maintain this fragile ecosystem.
Whether we spot them or not, the journey will be worth it. Come for the buffalo, stay for the beauty.
