About Event

Do you feel guilty for wanting to travel & explore as a mom?

Join us for our next community event in partnership with OwnTrail- where we will be talking about navigating mom guilt as a female traveler while building some meaningful friendships within the community.

We will be in conversation with Jen Fischer, who is a US-based writer, film producer, and teaching artist whose writing or film work has been featured in or by Ms. Magazine, NBCLatino, ABC, Univision, Fusion, NBCBLK, Vice News, and others. Her film “THE wHOLE” premiered at Amnesty International’s 50th Anniversary Human Rights Conference. She has an essay appearing in "What is a Criminal?" an anthology forthcoming from Routledge press in 2022. Her first international travel experience was a trip to Paris in 1999 and that started it all. Since then, she has lived in Cairo, Egypt, traveled in the Middle East (on her own), Scandinavia, England, Italy, Estonia, Southeast Asia (also solo), the Dominican Republic, Canada, Mexico, and Rwanda (her most recent solo trip) in addition to doing various excursions in the US.
