PIER59 Studios proudly launches its inaugural Summer Series with Sculpting Time — a two-part immersive experience at the intersection of media art, technology, and contemporary storytelling. Hosted inside PIER59 Studios’ premier Chelsea campus, this series highlights the creative potential of both its state-of-the-art Virtual Production Stage and its world-class event spaces — continuing PIER59’s legacy as a destination for innovation in art, production, and culture.
In collaboration with Now Media, Projekt Blank, Deodato Arte, and Art Industry, Sculpting Time brings together a diverse community of artists, filmmakers, and technologists redefining how stories are created and experienced.
Now Media & Projekt Blank: Sculpting Time
Curated by Now Media and Projekt Blank, the night presents a global cross-section of digital artists and filmmakers exploring identity, form, and narrative through film, photography, digital sculpture, 3D animation, sound, and performance. Like sculptors shaping raw material, these creators carve out new creative possibilities through emerging tools — from code to cinema — delivering an unfiltered look at how technology redefines artistic expression.
At the center of the experience is PIER59 Studios’ cutting-edge Virtual Production Stage, where its massive 65-foot LED MegaWall transforms into a dynamic, real-time canvas — blending cinematic precision with immersive environments and elevating each performance into a unique sensory experience.
Deodato Arte & Art Industry: Infinity — A Timeless Italy
Presented in collaboration with Deodato Arte and Art Industry, the second program in parallel features Infinity — A Timeless Italy by renowned Italian photographer Jacopo Di Cera. Known for his distinct visual language that merges physical and digital narratives, Di Cera presents a collection of stills and infinite video loops that capture familiar Italian landscapes, traditions, and stories — suspending moments in time and inviting viewers to explore the depth of memory, place, and connection.
Set within the iconic PIER59 Studios event space — a Chelsea landmark for fashion, film, and culture — this exhibition reflects Deodato Arte’s global vision at the intersection of contemporary art and innovation. As one of the leading players in the international art market, Deodato Arte showcases both established and emerging artists, including Mr. Brainwash, Romero Britto, Liu Bolin, and Mr. Savethewall, as part of its evolving portfolio of modern and pop art.
