About Event

Free Neurodynamic breathwork, enter an expanded state of awareness with your breath and powerful music. Discover your inner guiding intelligence!

Come take a journey inward with the power of your breath. Jonathan Schecter is a certified Neurodynamic Breathwork facilitator who will guide you through a 60-minute breathwork experience with a set of curated, evocative music.

The workshop will be approx. 2 hours via Zoom on Sunday 3/21/21 at 2PM Mountain. It will begin with a 30-minute introductory talk, followed by about an hour of breathing set to evocative music. The workshop concludes with an optional sharing circle for integration. While the sharing is optional, it is often one of the most powerful parts of the experience.

The breath is a potent ally for diving deep inside for exploration and healing. Experiences during breathwork can include Yogic trance states and all kinds of psychedelic like transpersonal experiences, emotional and energetic releases, and sensory and physical experiences. Your body may feel hot or cold, you may want to make sounds, or feel tension that can be released.

The number one principle of Neurodynamic Breathwork is to trust the process, and breathe with whatever experience comes up. Each session will be unique to each breather, so let go of expectation and be surprised - whatever comes up is based on your Inner Guiding Intelligence and the safety you feel surrendering to the experience of letting go into the power of your breath.

Breathwork can be done lying down or sitting up. A bed or yoga mat is ideal, someplace you can be comfortable and relaxed. It is ideal to use headphones but you can also use your computer speakers if you have good quality sound and the volume can be turned up. You want the music volume to be high enough so you feel that you are being bathed in the sound but not so loud that it distorts. The better the internet connection, the better the sound quality of the music will be. A hardwired connection is ideal but a Wi-Fi system with good reception will also work. Cell phones without Wi-Fi connection will sometimes not work due to poor receptivity. Cell phones with Wi-Fi will work but sound quality without earphones or ear buds is generally unacceptable. Also, make sure you will not be disturbed during the session–turn off your phone, put a “do not disturb” sign on your door if there are other people in your house or apartment, etc.

A blindfold or eye mask can be helpful, or you can close your eyes. Kleenex and water should be nearby and extra pillows and blankets are recommended – blankets if you get cold and pillows to yell into or pound if you feel strong emotions coming up during the process.

There is additional information to read before the workshop, and several forms to complete if it’s your first time. Please contact me if you have not received these forms after registering, or if you have any questions.

Even over Zoom, there is an energetic connection when people breathe together. It’s an honor to hold space and put these workshops together. Breathwork is such an important part of my healing journey and I’m grateful to be able to share it with you!
