Olio day on a Canna-Farm 🍀 Plant tour, talks, & home-cooked dinner
Join us on Sunday 9/22 where we'll spend the day on Terra Mater farm, a lush and idyllic property in Rhinebeck, to learn about the healing properties of cannabliss, get up close and personal with the plants, indulge in a home-cooked Palestinian dinner, sample locally brewed cider, and cool down in the swimming pool, all while connecting with other lifelong learners from the Olio community 😍
Terra Mater farma is a women-owned canna farm and we'll learn from Andi Novick, the lead farmer about her growing process and the healing properties of cannabis and sample some of the goods they are producing.
We'll then be joined by the founder of Greenpoint Cidery for a tasting and conversation about the small-scale cider making process using all local ingredients.
Once we've worked up a proper appetite, Nadia Gilbert, Palestinian-American chef from NYC will offer us a home-made meal drawing from the abundant bounty of the Hudson Valley in the fall. Nadia’s Palestinian inspired menus are packed with flavor, nourishing yet luxurious, and hyper focused on seasonality and sustainability.

About our chef, Nadia:
"Nadia is a Palestinian-American chef, immersive & visual artist, storyteller & producer of “Sahtein”.
She combines these modalities of study in her life’s work, producing visual media and facilitating multi-sensory experiences that invite you to dive deep and transform.
We are in constant relationship with the plants and animals we eat, the land we live on, our ancestral lines, and the people around us. When we cultivate a reverence for those relationships, we unlock new levels of healing, opening, and possibility, changing the world through our grounded, open hearted presence."
Words from Andi Novick about her plants:
"As we age, the production of cannabinoids in our body declines, as does our health: a daily dose of the plant’s cannabinoids can restore our endocannabinoid levels.
All plants are here to help us, but we are in a more intimate relationship with cannabis. We both have endocannabinoid systems that produce cannabinoids.
Despite the illegality of cannabis, which historically had made it difficult for scientists to study, there exist thousands of studies demonstrating an extraordinary breadth of conditions that cannabis can relieve or heal.
We will dive into the science and somatics of the plant during your visit!"
