Defending the Amazon: Conversation & Reception
Community conversation and reception with Alec Baldwin and Amazon Watch
Please join us in New York on April 24 for a conversation with special guests, including Indigenous leader Majo Cerda from the Kichwa community of Serena in Ecuador, Alec Baldwin, Amazon Watch Executive Director Leila Salazar-López, and human rights and environmental attorney Steven Donziger, followed by a community reception!
This powerful conversation will explore in depth how Indigenous peoples are leaders in defending the Amazon rainforest and our climate, and how our collective action and solidarity can achieve powerful solutions for this vital ecosystem. A community reception will follow, with light refreshments and beverages, in celebration of the Indigenous-led movement for the Amazon and our common future.
Your RSVP is required to attend and we encourage you to make a tax-deductible donation when you register. All event proceeds will support the work of Amazon Watch. Thank you!
