Imagine you’re in a ceremonial gathering and hear an angelic stringed instrument that carries you up to the cosmos and beyond! So tiny, so ethereal... yes, it’s the Charango! A 10-string masterpiece born in the high Andes mountains. Come learn about what makes the Charango a potent tool for healing as well as a symbol of resilience, resistance and identity.

🎶 Get an overview of basic chords, tunings & insights on how to play as well as cultural background of the Charango. No prior playing experience necessary, just an open mind, heart & ears.

Monique is a ceremonial musician and charango teacher who created Charango With Monique, a didactic and cultural platform all about this magical 10-string Andean instrument. 20+ years of exploring the charango in depth. Monique’s mission is to listen to intersectional wisdom and ancestral voices; and to connect to Great Mystery, Spirit and Purpose via the magic of the charango. Grateful for this path and the space between the notes. Studies of Charango, Music, Life & Andean Offerings with Peruvian Maestro Kike Pinto @kikepintocardenas. Drumming & Song Studies with Mestre Amen, Capoeira Batuque.

Upon arrival, drive past the Wild Seeds sign and make the 2nd right into the dirt lot (you'll see a PARK HERE sign), park anywhere just not on the basketball court. Then walk directly across the road and make a quick left down the gravel driveway. You'll come upon another sign that says "Follow the path" make a right and follow the path down to the grassy meadow & we will greet you there!
