​Join us for our July AI Engineering Meetup. This is a monthly series for engineers, researchers, and builders interested in AI development. We explore how foundation models are being integrated into real-world products, what tools and techniques are emerging, and what’s next for the field.

AI is no longer just a research discipline—it’s becoming a core part of software development. AI Engineers work at the intersection of machine learning, software engineering, and product development, making powerful models (like GPT-4, Claude, and open-source alternatives) and in real applications.

​We're thrilled to be joined by Plastic Labs Co-Founder and CEO Vince Trost. He was the first graduate from the Data Science program at Penn State University and has spent his career building AI applications in education, data science infrastructure on Ethereum, and is now building Honcho -- an AI-native memory solution geared towards radically decentralizing alignment.

​Plastic Labs is on a mission to solve personal identity for the agentic world. Generative AI has promised highly bespoke experiences, yet it ends up producing average results for every user. This leads to frustration, limited effectiveness and poor retention. Honcho fixes this by ambiently reasoning about each user and exposing a simple API to query that reasoning and increase their social cognition.
