Design Thinking For Employee Experience
2021 has been called the year of “The Great Resignation,” with people quitting their jobs at record rates. Sadly, it costs about 1/3 of a new recruit’s salary to replace a departed worker. Further, employee disengagement is estimated at 85% worldwide and costs USD 450 - 550 billion each year in the US alone.
Why are people quitting and disengaged, and what can HR leaders do about it?
Design Thinking (DT) can help you craft engaging employee experiences to boost both retention and productivity. High-performing HR departments are almost 5 times more likely to be using design thinking than their peers, and design-led companies outperform industry growth by as much as 2:1. They provide nearly twice the shareholder returns and financially outperform their competitors. By using DT, HR leaders impact not only employees’ work lives but become business partners instilling a positive culture of customer-centricity and innovative growth.
This Masterclass session introduces HR professionals to the business value of Design Thinking and the process used by leading consultancy IDEO to create “Moments That Matter” for consumers and employees alike. According to Gartner*, “HR leaders who understand which unique moments are important to their employees can make smarter investments with greater impact.”
