​Handpan HangOut, Skill Share & Open Mic

​We're changing things up this year and will be traveling around the DMV area connecting handpans with commUNITY. We're gathering at the Alchemy of Art – 1637 Eastern Ave, Baltimore, MD 21231 – for this month's hang session.

​Handpan enthusiasts, players, musicians and anyone curious about making music is invited to attend. Whether you are new to playing the handpan, an intermediate+ musician, or simply curious about the instrument, come see what it's all about and join us for an afternoon full of handpans, music & sweet vibes.

​Don't have a handpan but want to come? Don’t worry, some instruments provided including frame drums, shakers, djembes, a few extra handpans and acoustic instruments floating around.

​AFTERNOON FLOW:

• ​INTRO & SKILL SHARE – Enthused about something you've learned about the handpan, and stoked to tell others?! Now's the time! We open the afternoon with a 30-minute window broken into learning pods. If you want to get into jamming, right away, that's ok too!
  

• ​JAM TIME – We'll spend ~1 hour in music mode, meaning bring your handpan and/or
  

• ​"OPEN MIC " CLOSING CIRCLE – Closing our time together, participants may opt to share a piece they're working on in this song in the round style circle share.
