Meryeme Lahmami
Principal, Pender Ventures
Based in Montreal, Meryeme joined Pender in 2022, bringing over seven years of experience in healthcare and enterprise software, both as an operator and investor.
Before joining Pender, Meryeme most recently worked at BDC Capital’s Women In Tech Venture Fund, where she led investments for multiple early-stage / growth companies across biotech, enterprise software and digital health. Prior to BDC Capital, Meryeme was at Medteq where she solely focused on early-stage investments in digital health, diagnostics and medical device companies.
Meryeme started her career as a consultant in bio-based products and wearables before she co-founded a venture-backed health-tech startup building a contactless vital signs monitoring platform, where she oversaw product, operations and business development.
She is active in the startup community and is a mentor at the Founder Institute, Techstars AI and other Montreal-based incubators and accelerators.
Meryeme holds an MBA from Laval University. She hails from Morocco where she was a high-level athlete competing at an international level.
