Khan Tengri Snow Leopard Expedition 2025
The American Climber Science Program is excited to announce our expedition in the Tian Shen mountains. We’ll be climbing Khan Tengri (7010m) and studying the endangered snow leopard and its habitat, the South Engilchek Glacier (one of the longest non-polar glaciers in the world), and the glaciers on the mountain up to its summit. Working with local scientists, we hope to better inform both snow leopard conservation and water resources management.
