About Event

β€‹πŸŒŸ About the Workshop

Join us for a two-day hands-on ZK workshop hosted by the ZK Education Team (ZKET) at the Ethereum Foundation! This workshop is designed for developers and students who are new to Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs) but have a technical background.

By the end of this event, participants will have a strong foundational understanding of ZKPs, experience with ZK tooling, and insights into career opportunities in cryptography and blockchain.

β€‹πŸ“– What You’ll Learn

β€‹πŸ‘€ Introduction to Zero-Knowledge (ZK) – Why ZK matters, real-world use cases, and how it all works
πŸ”’ Cryptographic Building Blocks – Commitments, signatures, circuits, and ZK-friendly math
πŸ’» Hands-On Coding with Circom – Build and prove your first circuits using Groth16
🧠 Math Behind the Magic – Intuitively understand how ZKPs work under the hood
🧰 ZK Stack & Tooling – Explore modern tools like zkVMs, PLONK, GKR, and more
🎯 Career & Community – Resume reviews, project demos, and how to keep learning ZK

This will be a highly interactive, hands-on workshop with mentors from the Ethereum Foundation and the global ZK community.

πŸ‘₯ Who Should Join?

β€‹βœ… STEM students interested in cryptography and privacy technologies
βœ… Early-career developers looking to explore ZK and blockchain
βœ… Developers already in web3 who want to expand into ZK

No prior ZK experience is required, but familiarity with basic programming (JavaScript, Rust, or Solidity) will be helpful.

β€‹πŸ§‘β€πŸ« Meet the Mentors

Our mentors include engineers, researchers, and industry experts from the Ethereum Foundation and local ZK communities. They’ll guide you through the workshop, answer questions, and provide career mentorship.

β€‹πŸ”Ή Confirmed mentors include:

  • Oskar – ZK researcher & developer

  • Kimi – ZK engineer (zkEVM to zkVM)

  • More mentors to be announced!
