Workshop: What Makes a Personal Fundraising “Ask” Effective? with Lynn Fletcher & Mary Pence from 31st St
This workshop will enable you to develop an appeal to others to join you in contributing to impactful candidates and causes.
From your own unique starting point, you will advance to a place of greater ease, skill and effectiveness.
Prior to the workshop, you will receive a short questionnaire (just two questions) to get you thinking about and prepared for the content of the hour we will be spending together.
During the workshop, you’ll observe the leader making an ask and will identify what you think was effective or could have been improved.
Then you’ll have a chance to practice your own ask with a partner.
Some concepts that will be covered:
How to not be limited to your current comfort zone
How to create a space where the potential donor is inspired to “stretch”
What role data can play in your ask
