Hosted by James Harris (@slimeboxjames) this Drink (or Don’t) & Draw has been running for several months, and we are so excited to be returning to Indy Hall's clubhouse!
Well everyone, it’s that time of year — time for some holiday cheer! What better way to spread holiday cheer than to take some time and think of those that could use your help/kind words. We have been building this community since July, and while doodling goofy prompts is a blast, I wanted to take some time and think of those less fortunate than ourselves. To do our part, Drink (or Don’t) & Draw is partnering with Cards for Hospitalized Kids to hold a Card-A-Thon on December 3rd so that we can raise the spirits of the children spending their holidays in the hospital. There are a number of children spending the most cheerful season of the year away from their families and in the hospital, and we are going to do our best to send them a little happiness! There will be no prompts, just loud Christmas music, drinks, friendship and charity. We will be here from 4PM-9PM, you are not required to spend the entire time here; you are free to come for as long as you’d like and make as many cards as you want. I will have a bit of construction paper and black markers, please bring any other supplies you feel you may need!
If you cannot make the event but want to support us, please feel free to make some cards at home or on your free time and drop them off to Indy Hall during the event hours! You can also contact me directly (@slimeboxjames) and drop off your cards to me wherever I may be!
The holidays can be a beautiful time for some and a very difficult time for others. Let’s all take some time out our days, give a thought to those less fortunate, and offer whatever help we can. A little help goes a long way, a little compassion helps more than you know. If you’re unable to attend, please take some time and find a way to give back to those in your community who can use the help. Thank you all for being such beautiful people and helping to shine a little light on someone who could use it.
⚠️ Indy Hall is a vaccine required space — you will need to show proof of your vaccine and most recent COVID booster to attend. ⚠️ This is for our community's comfort and safety, and the sustainability for this event to continue with Indy Hall as host. Vaccine card or photo of your vaccine card are okay!
