About Event

ECell’s Startup Sprint is designed to give students a taste of the processes and tribulations of ideating and setting up their own startups via a 24 hour sprint.

​Timeline

  • ​Saturday:

    • ​5pm : Lobbying (Participants will form teams of 3)

    • ​6pm : Event starts

  • ​Sunday: 

    • ​11am : Final Submission

    • ​1pm : Qualifiers will be decided by the E-cell jury.

    • ​2pm : Qualifiers Announced.

    • ​3pm : Presentations.

    • ​5pm : Conclusion + Winners Announced

​General Guidelines

  • ​Teams of maximum 3 students come up with an idea that is buildable, scalable, and has viability in the market. Participation is free of cost.

  • ​Teams also build a minimum viable product (MVP), show concept designs, plans, proof of concepts and other paraphernalia to support their idea.

  • ​For the duration of the event, planned minigames will also take place over the night hours

  • ​Minigames:

    • ​Poker Tournament 

    • ​Entrepreneurial Pong

​Deliverables

  1. ​Pitch Deck (as per rubric)

  2. ​MVP (See eligibility criteria)

​Rules

  • The idea must be authentic and original. Plagiarism of the idea will result in disqualification.

  • MVP eligibility criteria:

    • ​Consider an MVP to include not just physical or digital products but also conceptual frameworks, service models, or processes. For example, if someone is proposing a service, their MVP could be a detailed workflow, a prototype of the service interaction, or a proof of concept.

  • ​Use of any and all means to set up the MVP and auxiliary paraphernalia is permitted.

    • Use of all AI tools is permitted.

    • ​If it is someone else's code, respect copyright and any applicable license terms

  • ​The final deck + MVP is to be uploaded on a portal decided by the E-Cell before the time runs out.
