Speaker Intro:
Jing Zhou, PhD
Dr. Jing Zhou is a scientist, entrepreneur, and executive with cross-disciplinary experience spanning biophysical chemistry, materials science, e-commerce, real estate, and artificial intelligence. She earned her Ph.D. in Biophysical Chemistry from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and completed postdoctoral research at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). From 2007 to 2010, she served as research faculty at the Protein Data Bank at Rutgers University.
In 2010, Dr. Zhou transitioned into entrepreneurship by founding MicroCeramics, a materials science startup focused on removing heavy metals from drinking water. The company was acquired in 2014. She later invested in the Seattle-based startup OxiScience, where she served as COO and CEO, leading the NonScents product line to reach over 200,000 customers on Amazon within two years.
What began as a personal interest in real estate gradually evolved into a full-scale business. In her semi-retirement, Dr. Zhou established a real estate brokerage, a vacation rental property management firm, and a home services company offering staging, cleaning, and construction. Collectively, these ventures manage over $70 million in vacation rental assets, primarily composed of family-held private equity.
In addition to her work in real estate, Dr. Zhou serves as Chief Operating Officer of her family’s AI-driven investment company, which focuses on public market strategies and delivering personalized wealth management solutions for small business owners.
