Talk Description:
AI is creating pathways for interspecies communication which can provide agency to animals. Praful will talk about his startup which focuses specifically on dog communication. Paired with recent developments around legal constructs for AI personhood, this can provide pathways for personhood for dogs.
Speaker Profile:
Praful Mathur is a 4x founder & early-stage investor that’s worked across logistics and deep tech. He was involved in passing a mandate in Boston around taxi regulation, passing Senate Bill S-734, and organized the first Uplift Series of talks in SF last year.

Who should come: anyone working in or interested in the intersection of AI/emerging technologies and animal welfare. Our core community focuses on farmed animals, but we welcome anyone interested in other categories such as research, wild, and companion animals.
