🎨 What You’ll Learn and Create
In this exciting 8-week term class, you’ll dive deep into the timeless art of hand-building pottery. Over the course, you’ll master foundational techniques like pinching 🤲 & slab-building 🧱 used by potters for centuries. By the end of the term, you’ll have crafted a complete 16-piece dining set, including:
🍽️ 4 large dinner plates
🍴 4 side plates
🥣 4 bowls
☕ 4 cups or mugs (handles optional)

📅 Class Schedule
🗓️ Week 1-5
You’ll focus on hand-building techniques to create your dinner set. Each week, we’ll guide you step-by-step to craft your plates, bowls, and cups while exploring creative forms and textures. 🧑🎨
🗓️ Week 6-7
Once your pieces are completed, they’ll need to dry 🧼 and be bisque fired 🔥. During these weeks, you’ll learn to sand your bisqued pottery and glaze all 16 pieces under expert guidance, ensuring the perfect finish. 🌟
🎉 Week 8
Once glazed, your pieces will undergo their final kiln firing 🔥 to become durable, food-safe, and ready for use. ⏳
To celebrate your achievement, you’ll be invited to a Show & Tell event 🥳 with snacks 🥂 and drinks 🍷, where you can collect your stunning dinner set and share your journey with fellow makers. ✨
