TL;DR
Physical AI (robotics, drones, computer vision) will give climate tech founders the tools to build companies that couldn’t have been built a few years ago. Against a backdrop of rapidly-evolving tech, how should climate tech founders approach building companies that leverage physical AI? What markets and business models are likely to be most attractive?
Topic overview
Why is the topic relevant?
Physical AI will allow founders to build companies that were unthinkable even 5 years ago. Despite this, we see a lot more excitement for robotics in the generalist tech community than within climate. Attendees should join to discuss where the opportunities for physical AI within climate are the greatest, and how we can build great climate x physical AI companies in Europe. Note: Transition has already made two investments along this theme so far; and we will be able to speak to them in detail at the Drop. EQT Foundation has also invested into this space and this theme remains top of mind.
What’s up for discussion?
What end-markets within climate are most attractive for this new technology?
What company types make the most sense? Vertically integrated solutions or just 'application layer' building on existing HW?
Where in Europe can we find the best talent focused on this?
Dream outcome
Finding a group of investors/founders that can work together to foster a strong ecosystem around physical AI in Europe
Meeting more founders to invest in within physical AI
Who should attend?
Founders who are building something or who want to build something focused on physical AI
Corporates who are looking to build new products leveraging physical AI
Investors focused on physical AI
