About the Event

As a continuation of our recent conversation on building startup design teams from the ground up, we’re now turning our attention to managing early-stage design teams: from onboarding new designers to carving out career paths to building a thriving design culture. In our upcoming event, hear from three experienced design leaders about their path into management and their advice on leading design teams, particularly as a first-time manager.

We’ll dive into topics like:

  • Who makes a great design manager

  • Setting up new hires for success

  • Defining levels and career paths

  • Building a remote culture that attracts great designers

  • Balancing management, hiring, and execution responsibilities

  • Advocating for and communicating the value of design
