Descript Season 7

​On August 14th we announced some big new stuff for podcasters: two new ways to record a podcast—and start editing as soon as you hit stop—and a new AI editing feature that will save you hours. Here’s the rundown:

• ​Rooms: A high-quality, worry-free collaborative recorder

• ​Zoom: now you can import recordings directly from Zoom to Descript

• ​Automatic Multicam: instant visual layouts for interviews and conversations

​Now you can record, edit, and publish a podcast—and make it as good as you can possibly make it—without ever leaving Descript or paying for multiple tools. Or, if you’re already recording in Zoom, you can keep doing that. Descript will automatically import, transcribe, and get you set up to edit; it’s the only editing tool integrated with Zoom.
