Toastmasters V1

​This is the "official informal" Toastmasters meetup; it is technically our second meeting. I say informal because we cannot conduct a full meeting until we beam a chapter down into Forest City...and start collecting dues from members.

For anyone unfamiliar, the goal of Toastmasters is to practice our public speaking skills so that we can develop as leaders.

For this meeting, we will practice speaking using the "table topics" format, where I will come prepared with three random topics.

I will randomly select 3 people to speak on each topic for 2 minutes. One person will watch for people using filler words like "um" and "ah, " while another person times the individuals. At the end, we will vote on the best talk.

Since I expect this to fill up, I will also use some time to answer general questions about Toastmasters and what it would look like to set up an "official club."

Come prepared to learn the "art" of public speaking and rhetoric!
