About Event

To kick off London Climate Action Week, a coalition of leading NGOs, whistleblowers, journalists and creatives are joining forces to expose and explore the advertising industry’s role in fuelling the climate crisis, and what we can do about it.

From slick greenwashing campaigns to coordinated disinformation, advertising has long helped polluters distort the truth and delay climate action. But a growing global movement is reclaiming creativity to challenge this power, demand accountability, and rewrite the future.

Through whistleblower testimony, investigative journalism, creative campaigns, and bold policy demands, this cinematic event will show how we can shift the industry away from marketing pollution, and towards scaling real solutions.

Featuring -

  • Ellen Ormesher – Investigative journalist at DeSmog

About Badvertising

Badvertising is a campaign that exposes and challenges advertising and sponsorships that promote high-carbon products like SUVs, airlines, and fossil fuel companies. It argues that these ads fuel climate breakdown by normalising polluting behaviours and misleading the public. The campaign calls for bans on fossil fuel advertising, similar to those on tobacco, to protect people and the planet.
