βA fresh, playful, and fun experience designed to connect you with other curious, open-hearted singles without the apps, the pressure, or the awkward small talk. π
βItβs an afternoon of meaningful moments, unexpected games, and real convos. Designed to bring people together in the most human (and playful) way possible. Itβs also just a different & cool way of meeting friends (and potential crushes, of course!).

π HOW DOES IT WORK?
βWe start with a short & sweet intro talk followed by a few light-hearted group games to warm up.
βYouβll never have to speak in public if you donβt want. You'll be guided by an experienced host who'll make sure everything goes smoothly. π (introverts, you'll love it too β€οΈ)
At the end of the event, you'll receive a link with the option to write down your crushes. If it's a match, we'll notify you!
π Each round is a different game - some are physical, some are brainy, and some are just silly.
πΎ Youβll get paired up, switched around, and matched in ways that keep it fresh (no endless awkward intros).
βπ¦ Some rounds, youβll connect without saying a word. Other rounds will test your teamwork, humor, and ability to handle a bit of chaos.

βHey, I'm Lauren! Originally from Toronto, I spent almost 20 years in London UK and now live nomadically, following my heart around the world. I'm a Dating and Relationship Coach, using somatic coaching, breathwork, and movement to help people find love.
After a breakup in Buenos Aires, I discovered F*ck The Small Talk and loved it - but I thought, what if everyone there was single? A few conversations later, and βDating Like It's 1999" was born. So many of my clients are burned out by modern dating, and most in-person dating events feel awkward or forced. Our intention here is to take the pressure off, create an afternoon of fun, and if you meet someone you like, that's a fabulous bonus!

Please do! (you can also come with a friend but maybe don't bring your date?)
ββ£ Can I be late?
Please don't. We start 15 min after the official start. Late arrivals tend to disrupt the flow of the event.

I hear you, we were too. Here's the thing: we've been doing this for so many years and pour our hearts and soul into designing things that are fun, meaningful, and a bit different. Trust us and trust yourself, you'll have a nice time! Be bold and take the leap; you never know what can happen. π
β£ Can I get a refund if I can't make it?
Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds. We might be able to transfer your ticket to another event as long as you let us know in advance!
