Innovation community nature walk (Tech Brews x Venturing Humans)
Welcome to the Sun edition of the Tech Brews SG x Venturing Humans event series! This special collaboration with Venturing Humans Hub brings you monthly hike networking, focusing on connecting with folks in the innovation and impact community while enjoying nature and supporting a good cause.
This edition is at Kent Ridge Park
It's open to all; anyone can drop by and network.
What to expect from this meetup:
Join us for a journey along Singapore's Southern Ridges that takes us from relaxing forest immersion to yummy food at the Harbourfront. Starting at Kent Ridge Park, we will experience a blend of nature and history. We will traverse the Canopy Walk and descend to botanical oasis featuring themed gardens and tranquil ponds, perfect for a peaceful interlude. After a short break, we will venture onto Labrador Park, taking in sights from a vibrant mangrove ecosystem and beautiful views of Singapore's southern coastline. The walk will end at Harboufront, where you are invited to have an early lunch together with us and your newfound friends.
Fundraiser for Empower Ageing
This community walk is a mini fundraiser to support Empower Ageing. Empower Ageing, is on a mission to support vulnerable seniors in their transformation journeys to age well. They enable that through programmes to mitigate and even reverse declines or issues associated with ageing (such as reversing fragility). 100% of ticket proceeds will go to their cause. What to bring: Water, Raincoat/Umbrella and Insect Repellant. You're also encouraged to bring curiosity, inclusivity and kindness :)
Attire: Comfortable wear for walking in nature.
Who should Attend:
It's easy trail that takes roughly 2 hours. The walking surfaces are mostly nicely paved. The challenge is walking stamina for around 7km with some stairs, not to worry we take a rather leisurely pace.

About the event series:
Tech Brews SG x Venturing Humans
Why walk/hike? The physical activity of moving forward (especially in a natural environment) as we talk helps us open our minds and break thinking patterns. It allows fluidity for people to move around, provides environmental stimulus to ignite our sense of wonder and allows time for people to be present for each other in the journey.
And the positive impact amplifies.. Beyond connecting individuals, we hope to raise awareness and money for a meaningful cause. For this exploration, all donations will go Empower Ageing. You may donate as you wish, we will send the giving.sg link to participants who are successfully confirmed for the walk.

This walk is co-organised by Hui Hong and Keerthana, in support of Empower Ageing. Hui Hong has much of her life exploring ways to apply innovation and an entrepreneurial approach for problems worth solving across varied contexts. she started Venturing Humans as a project to develop a community of purpose driven individuals who can support each other in their journeys and provide a regular watering hole for people to re-connect with humans and nature.
