Introducing "The Diverse Tailors"
"The Diverse Tailors," supported by DIVERSEcity's Diverse Entrepreneurs Business Incubator, aims to break down barriers and empower aspiring diverse entrepreneurs to achieve their dreams by transforming their skills into successful businesses.
This special cohort is designed for skilled tailors from various backgrounds who face language barriers but possess remarkable sewing, tailoring, and design talents from their home countries. While enhancing their English communication abilities, participants utilize upcycled festival and street banners to craft beautiful tote bags, drawstring bags, cross-body bags, and more.
Our goal is to generate enough income through their creations to purchase sewing machines for each participant, empowering them to establish their own sewing and tailoring businesses within 6-9 months.
The Diverse Entrepreneurs Business Incubator offers a free, 24+ week program combining self-employment training, a networking hub, and a business incubation platform.
