​This is an RPGFest event; we'll be playing an in-person tabletop roleplaying game with a small group. The game will be hosted in Western Queens. Come prepared to roleplay!

​A game about language and how it dies

We create an isolated community and navigate our characters to its end, building a language as we go. Each language tells a story – what words will we create? What story will they tell?

This game requires minimal preparation and is rules-light. Character creation takes place at the start of the session. The facilitator will guide players through the game as we choose what our community believes in and how our dialect will unfold. This game is heavy on group discussion, storytelling, and collaboration, and uses cards to define characters and progress – no dice or numbers to crunch.
We will choose a backdrop together in advance, which will involve less than 30 minutes of reading. Do we live in a Martian Outpost? Are we a network of thieves? Perhaps a pack of wolves, or defenders of the water? You can help decide!
