We invite all Persian speakers and literature enthusiasts to join us for the inaugural session of "Khandani-ha" (خواندنیها), a new Persian-language book club hosted at the Central Library of The Hague.
Inspired by the renowned song Najvaha by Farhad, "Khandani-ha" is a monthly gathering where readers come together to explore a selected book, engage in discussions with its author, and share readings from the text. Iran Academia’s University Press organizes this initiative to foster meaningful literary exchanges among Persian-speaking communities in a warm and welcoming space.
For our first session on March 6, 2025, just two days before International Women’s Day (March 8), we are honored to host Mansoureh Shojaei as the moderator and Shahzoda Samarqandi, the author of Mothersland (زمین مادران) as our special guest. Together, we will delve into this powerful book, exchange thoughts, and celebrate Persian literature.
⏰ Doors open at 18:00. The event starts at 18:30 and runs until 20:00.
