About Event

​Ever wanted to learn how to build an app, but didn't know where to start?

​

​Cubstart is Cal Hacks’ course for beginner hackers at UC Berkeley. Throughout the semester, we will provide mentorship and workshops for all students to learn basic skills in programming, team building, and ideation. We welcome those with little to no computer science or programming experience!

​

​Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis until Friday, January 29th at 11:59pm.

​

​In addition to weekly lecture and lab, you will work in teams on a semester-long project developing your own applications. You will be split into two tracks—iOS and web development—to learn the necessary skills to build on your respective platforms.

​

​Schedule:

  • ​Monday, January 25th at 5pm PST — General Info Session

  • ​Thursday, January 28th at 5pm PST — Application Workshop
