How to Draw Tiny People on Granville Island
Join me for a fun and informative workshop on the art of drawing tiny people!
In this hands-on event, I will guide you through the process of creating quick portraits from real-life observation with ease and precision.
This is my FIRST in-person workshop in Vancouver and I am super excited to draw with you! Although some of you have attended my Zoom workshops, the real value of my tips and techniques is when we draw from real-life. Let's do it!
This event is for everyone, regardless of skill level. Sign up if you want to -
✍🏼 bring drawing back into your life,
🔎 engage with curiosity & observe your environment,
📖 build a fun and sustainable sketchbook habit.
It is capped at 15 participants so that I can give adequate attention to each person. Grab a spot before they run out!
OPUS Art Supplies is pitching in to make this a truly memorable event! Each participant will receive:
🏷️ a discount code to use at OPUS Art Supplies,
📚 and an OPUS Art Essentials 5x7" sketchbook
All you need to bring is your enthusiasm and your choice of pen or pencil.
The general plan is:
10:00-10:30 Pick up your complimentary sketchbook at the counter. Hellos and quick introductions, after which I show the art supplies and sketchbooks I use.
10:30 - 11:00 We walk to an outdoor spot where I demonstrate how I draw tiny people, and share important tips and techniques to draw from observation of human activity.
11:00 - 12:00 Participants go through various drawing exercises to learn how to observe human activity and make quick drawings.
12:00 - 12:30 We circle back to the OPUS store, where I offer individual feedback, and answer all your questions.
I hope the weather will be good for us to spend time outdoors. But if not, we will find shelter inside the Public Market.
Bring a bottle of water! And an umbrella! And a jacket? It's Vancouver, you know what to do. 😅
